cassidy burke - counselor
At Widom Traditions, Cassidy serves as a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Sitter. In this role, she supports clients through their KAP session by providing a compassionate, trauma-informed presence and helps to create a safe and supporting environment. With a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Anchorage Alaska, she approaches her work with empathy, positivity, and a commitment to meeting clients where they are at in their journey.
To further her education Cassidy spent a year studying at the University of Auckland in New Zealand taking master level classes on grief and loss, family harm, and health and social justice. In the future, she has plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master of Social Work.
Cassidy has a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities and values creating a space where all people feel welcomed, supported, and understood. During her time at UAA Cassidy was involved in advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth and received the Martha P. Johnson award for her community advocacy and liberation.
Outside of the office she enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing with her two cats at home, and keeping an eye out for live music!
