Kim is originally from Virginia but spent a lot of time moving around as a military spouse. Before becoming a therapist, Kim was a newspaper reporter for about a decade and worked with the Red Cross in Germany doing emergency services for the armed forces during Desert Storm.
Since moving into her job as a therapist, she has worked with many different populations, but most enjoyed the trauma work with military members and families, working as a therapist and legal advocate with victims of domestic violence and working with high school and college age students planning for the future.
Kim has a daughter who lives here in Anchorage with her husband and shares her home with a lovely - but quirky - German Shepherd named Watson. Kim continues to volunteer with the American Red Cross as a disaster mental health worker. When not at Wisdom, Kim spends lots of time out hiking locally with her dog. She has enjoyed learning about Alaska and all of its uniqueness and beauty and is especially happy to be - finally - doing some gardening here!
