Stephanie dipiazza, mssw

Stephanie believes healing begins from within and that therapy should be a place where people can show up as they are, without needing to have the right words, the right answers, or everything figured out. Her approach is warm, curious, and collaborative, with room for humor, honesty, and genuine human connection. She values creating a space where people feel heard and understood while also being willing to ask questions, challenge patterns, and explore things from a different perspective.

Stephanie deeply values spirituality and the role that meaning, connection, values, and a sense of something beyond ourselves can have in healing. She recognizes that spirituality looks different for everyone and creates space for it to be explored in whatever way is meaningful to each person.

Stephanie is an Integrative Behavioral Health Counselor at Wisdom Traditions, providing individual telehealth counseling to Alaska residents in the evenings while also serving on active duty in the United States Air Force. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship difficulties, boundaries, self-worth, emotional regulation, and life transitions.

Stephanie draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/tapping), somatic and grounding practices, and Brainspotting. She values self-determination and works collaboratively with patients to find approaches that feel meaningful and practical for their lives.

Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Troy University in 2024 and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville in 2026. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she has lived in Alaska for six years. Outside of counseling, Stephanie loves reading good books, movies, exploring Alaska, spending time with friends and family, and finding reasons to laugh.
